Ive had my toadstool shrivel up for days/ weeks before only to come back bigger but now I see it releasing its polyps. Is this what people say by shedding or is it something serious. I usually see it when the polyps are retracted. It looks like polyps hanging by a thread a couple at a time, but when all the polyps come out it looks as health as ever.

A picture would be very helpful, what are your tank conditions and what else do you have in the tank?

I have not seen toadstool releasing polyps. When people talk about shedding of toadstool it means there will be a very thin film on top of the toadstool which it would shed. Some toadstool drop babies and by that I mean that a part of toadstool head will come apart from the main stalk and if you attach that to a rock or a frag plug then you will have another toadstool. Anyways as above the above post mentioned....picture would be helpful.

Droppin babies off. Watch where they land, then watch em grow.

Babies huh? This thing has dropped so many. I haven't seen them actually fall off I just notice them hanging by a thread.

Can't see it in the first pic but the polyp is in that little space void of polyps.

Normal healthy Sarcophyton. I do not see any budding present in the images.

There is one on the bottom left and one on the top right. My phone doesn't do macros very well.
