Hello,

Wondering what is the longest amount of time some of you have seen a toadstool "wax over" for?

Got a new one 7 days ago, was open the first day-and-a-half and then waxed over and hasn't opened up since.

Thank you!

Me a week
To reduce that time span, give the cap gentle bursts with a turkey baster and increase flow towards it, not at it. Moderate to medium light and some iron in the water

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Is it okay under low-light? I have it in a front corner of my tank along the bottom. Not blocked by anything but I can imagine the PAR is pretty low.

Thanks again!

Toads can adjust to the light they are placed in but we would normally place them in Medium light range. Just remember with toads they can be "Touchy" they might close up on you and not open up for a week. But overall Toads are great Corals.
