Had heard toadstools like med flow med light...my LFS says the more flow the better so a couple of
weeks ago I moved my toady to a higher flow location...needless to say, he didn't like it any more than med flow BUT I am able to see more of his base and noticed this today, was not there when I dipped it 2 months ago that's for sure.

Does it move? Hard to tell as it's a little blurry, but my first impression is a nudibranch

I cannot report on movement at this time it was stationary for the hour I was home for lunch...I guess at this point the question is pull and dip or live and let live...I know some nudi's ( and nudi is where my thoughts immediately went when I saw it) are good and some bad.

Had to run home for fedx..critter is still in same position...kill it with fire or no?

When in doubt remove it. Kill the critter. Use a razor blade and cut it off. The tissue will heal on the toad.

Coral Rx will not kill it. It will make it easier to remove

Dont know what it is...but id scrape it off...

Chiton good CUC.

Were you able to scrape it off ?

for better or worse Im not going to kill it until I can ID it..def not a nudi..no front antenna's (there is a very specific term but it escapes me) and all the chitons I saw images of were segmented in some way this is not so I am hoping someone eventually sees this and says oh yeah its one of those OR my research turns up something
