A recently bought toadstool has managed to bend 90* to the side on its first day in my 70gal. Anyone know whether I should intervene or leave it?!

What is flow like and how does it hit it, I’ve found that leathers are sensitive to flow,, I wouldn’t worry about it

I’d leave it a while. Mine is fussy about flow, but they are hard to kill. Give it a week or so to adjust. If no improvement try an area with different flow.
It’s not direct but the flow hasn’t disappeared from where the leather is

I have had several Toadstools in the past. IME, they are pretty hardy and mine took a few of days to adjust when first put into the tank and was bent over. At times it would start to droop whenever it did not get enough flow. Mine was roughly middle of tank and liked medium indirect flow. Let it settle in for a few days.

generaly during accimation and/or shedding, they tend to do this. Also, this is a typical response when lights are out. After about 2-3 hours with lights on, they tend to perk up. Toadstools seem to be the ones that do this the most followed by finger leathers.
Toadstools are known to exagerate their condition. Don't be suprised if your toadstoll closes all the way up and shrinks down in size, as it is a common ocurrence with new toadstools and new tanks and can be an indication in some cases of water quality issues.
Assure the following are met:
-Moderate light and water flow
- Flow in their general area (not at them but towards them)
- salinity range 1.024-1.026
- Temp range 77-79
- ph 8.0-8.3

As long as the tissue is not rotting away ( an indicator of disease, or serious illness). . . you have a healthy toadstool that likes to play Possum once in a while

77-79 degrees,, omg mine do fine at 72.5-73,, but that temp is based around my seahorses. Which is what I really care about, everything else is cool but not as important to me as the ponies are But all my leathers look good, I have 4 leathers

The key is that you have it stable in which we know Stability is as valueable as a certain targeted parameter.
