Hey guys, I have a green toadstool that seems to have tentacles or feelers coming off it. It’s hard to get pics of it because it’s so small. But essentially, it has green polyps and there are a couple long strings coming off it (one is like 6-8” long) that are faint white like a normal coral mucus string. At the end is a small green spec that matches the polyp color. Is it looking for food or is it propagation? Just curious.

Thanks for your consideration!

Could just be slime , could be anouyed with something or irritated would be my guess , I’ve never seen sweeper tentacles on mine ..

Softies especially can slime up when upset by something. Like you rubbing it when doing work in the tank?

Totally did work today. I’ve seen it before. I’ll check the correlation in the future. What was interesting was the green speck at the end. The string will go away and then come back again later on.
