So nearly 3 years in, i have never touched a par meter.... I just guess and move things around. That being said i have never found a good spot for my toadstool.... I have some soft and lps growing a lot, some have doubled in only 6 months! But my toad is the same size as i bought it over a year ago..... Could renting a par meter simply and quickly answer my problem here? Or is their something else im missing? As for the light guessing i have an a360we 10 inches over the surface at 50% color and intensity, and comparing to an awesome brs test should put me close to the numbers i should be looking for. Keep in mind everything else grows fine. I dont understand this toad. Would a picture help a lot?

Whats the height of your tank. I'm running a A360we over a 16" deep tank. I have the light mounted 7.5" over the water. I get 160 par dead center under light, 10" under the water. light peaks at 85% intensity and 30% color. My tank is LPS?softie. All the testing BRS did on the 360we was with the light 6-8" off the water and that is what I would recommend.
