Howdy folks,
Just as the title says, my neon green toadstool leather has some white spots and a chunk from the side of the cap. Its been in my tank for a few months.
All water parameters are stable. Its been closed for at least 2 weeks, spots began a few days ago along. Its in mid water flow, with low to mid light (AI Hydra 32 running Drews Lagoon program). No nearby coral neighbors. No noticeable nipping at by fish. I've been easily squirting it with a turkey baster to see if i can help it shed, but no change.
I feed everything every few days and was giving it a healthy blast of reef roids which it seemed to enjoy, prior to closing up.
Ive read about detritus settling causing holes, but nothing ever settles on it. It initially started on the sanded and i slowly moved it to where it is, where it seemed happy. I've also read about leathers "dropping" frags.
What do y'all think? Normal leather craziness? "Self-fragging"? Cause for concern?
Thanks for any advice!
