Toby puffer questions

Hi, we inherited a 46 gallon bow front aquarium with a toby puffer. It has big live rocks. I would like to make it "pretty" or at least interesting. I have no idea what to put in it. The previous owner said no plants or coral. What can I add or change?

You can add Plants and Coral if you like. Toby puffers leave almost everything along with the exception to inverts.

Had a blue spot puffer for 5 years, best fish, but no sps as he'd wear down his beak munching the sps. Mushrooms, torches euphylia plating montis all ok.

Oh yes, he whacked any crab, shrimp and so e snails ok.

You need a really good light and test frequently for corals otherwise whatever you put inside is going to die. Even for plants or macroalgae you need some dedicated lights that turn on/off even some simple ones.

Small polyp stony corals

Sorry, they are small polyp stony corals, what some view as the classic corals. They loook like staghorn antlers in the wild.
