I've been reefing for over 20 years and here is my latest reef. I downsized from a 75 with lots of gear (sump, refugium, skimmer, ect.). My goal with this tank is (relatively) simple gear with diverse life. The tank has been running for a few months in the basement while I build a stand. Eventually it will get moved up to the family room on the main floor of the house.

Here's a recent-ish FTS

And the stand as it... stands

Thanks! And definitely.

Tank
Marineland rimless 25 gallon cube (18"x18"x18"). I would call the tank quality so-so. The silicone was really sloppy and the glass edges have already got some small chips. If I had to buy again I'd probably try go with a Mr. Aqua.

Filteration
Eheim ECCO Pro 130 canister filter. I run some live rock and SeaGel in the filter.

Controller
APEX lite
VDM
DIY Break out Box

ATO
TUNZE Osmolator - pre-magnet style

More details to come in later posts.

Great looking nano, what fixture is that? The Gorgonian in the corner looks awesome.

Thank you. The fixture is a 6" Makers heatsink with a LEDGroupBuy Lumia 5.1. That gorgonian is one of my favorites. It has been with me since 1998. It was a 4" single stalk from GARF. I'm honestly not sure if this is the original or a grown out frag.

Looks awesome for only a couple months running.

You're funny Jamie. Nice to see a familiar face here on R2R. Do you have a tank thread on here?

The tank has been going through some rough times... Lost the maxima clam for reasons unknown. I also tried adding seagrass just to have it all die. The good news is that all corals Are doing well.

Also the stand is nearing completion. So hopefully the tank will up on the main living floor soon!

Tank is still not stairs... Life has been busy! But I'm making steady progress and am trying to do it right. Here's a recent pic of the tank with just the hyperviolet LEDs.

The tank still resides in the basement! I have a goal of getting it upstairs by Dec 13.

The tank is currently recovering from the a cyan bloom. I'm is a result of not getting enough attention due to being too busy!

I really like it!

Any idea what killed the clam?
Um, that would be me. I was working in the tank and the pair of jeweler's forceps slipped out of my hand and stabbed the clam. It never fully opened after that and died a few days later. I was very sad.
