I set up my reef in the early nineties. It started in a 29 gallon, downsized to a 20H for a bunch of years, then a 50 breeder for ~12 years, and now it lives in a 75.

Sorry for the slow response. Here goes...

75 gallon display - center drilled with a 1" overflow (DIY weir)

Tunze 6045
Tunze 6055 w/6091 controller (I made a DIY wavebox but can't use it... more on that later)
Koralia 2
DIY LEDs - 10 3ups from Ledgroupbuy.com running at 700ma

Sump/fuge - 50 breeder (former display tank)

Baffleless (I may install some at a later date)
Tunze 1073.03 return pump (turned down)
EuroReef skimmer (I got it used and don't recall the model # but its 24" tall and 8" diameter)
The skimmer is run with a Tunze 9410.04 hydrofoamer pump (a perfect match!)
Couple heaters (don't recall brand or wattage)
DIY LED fuge light (2 3ups)
Caulerpa, some rubble, and a few containers of substrate

Automation

Tunze Osmolator (w/ DIY Kalk reactor)
DA ReefKeeper Lite (no additional modules)

Not much has changed with the tank. I lost my big T. derasa a few months back. The situation was similar to the last T. derasa I lost (which was close to the same age). Growth stopped and mantle extension slowly receded until it became unresponsive to light and touch. At which time I pulled it. I don't think I'll get another derasa.

Since the loss the tank has weathered the lack of attention summer brings quite well. I've fragged some of the smummers growth and plan to bring it to the LFS for store credit. I'm thinking of adding some cardinalfishes and/or a Ca reactor.

I moved the tank to a new stand. And installed a DIY nano wavebox. It's awesome. I will post a video later (photobucket site is not working right now?)

I was pretty crushed by the losses. Clams are high up there on my list of favorite reef tank inhabitants. Both T. derasa clams lived for about 7 years. The latest one died this spring the previous one died in 2007-ish.

It runs nice and quite and is far superior to the sedra I used to run. I highly recommend them.

I just began the process of upgrading my DIY LED lighting. Started by replacing the inventronics drivers with Meanwell LDD drivers for the 20 RB and 10 NW LEDs. I also hooked the drivers up to the new APEX Lite via VDM module to enable dimming. The next step is adding the CB and OCW LEDs, which are sitting on the workbench as I type. The final move is to add HV to the display and build a refugium light with Deep Red and RB LEDs.
