I just released a blonde naso(?) and a powder brown(?) into my tank and my normally shy tomini tang has become a very angry elf. The only thing I could think of was to go lights out. Did I make a huge mistake (other than not QTing)? lfs just took em out of 2 weeks of hyposalinity and had them in copper, said I was gtg. Man that powder brown looks so sharp.

Turning off the lights could help. A mirror taped to the side of the glass can help. Feed lots.

What is the tank size?

I second the mirror. It helped with my aggressive Lieutenant tang. If you are married, raid your wife's side of the bathroom lol. Those mirrors with a handle work great (used to look at the back of their hair, etc.)

You might try switching up your rockscape a little bit (if its not a huge hassle). Resetting the perceived territories can help avoid aggression.

No wife, no mirror. I should have prepped for this. I went in to get some nori and left with two fish and two more corals. maybe I ought to get a wife to reign me in a bit.
