So a couple of days ago I got a small tomini tang. He's in qt but very shy he'll hardly ever come out. He's also isn't eating prepared foods. I have put nori in and he'll eat but it takes him hours to check it out.

Nori is nutritionally enough to keep him healthy. In time it should eat frozen, flake, pellet foods.

Tangs in the wild are algae grazers, so eating nori is a good sign.

They typically hide at first, keep feeding.

I had a tomini for about a year before I broke the tank down and sold it. It is a relatively shy tang. Even after a year he was hiding most of the time, it was only one of two fish in the frag tank. Would come out for food, but was not one of the open water swimming tangs I am used to. Every fish is different, just my experience.

Okay thanks everyone. This is my first tang I was gonna get one in my 60gal but velvet hit me. So now that I upgraded I'm doing everything better (I think). I just wanted to make sure he was okay
