I've had a tomini tang for about two weeks. Everything has been fine. Water perms are good he took to eating immediately and everything. He is on a diet of twice daily new life spectrum marine fish pellets, and every other day I feed a half sheet of ocean nutrient red marine algae with garlic extract. The algae suggest removing in eaten part after 24 hours but it doesn't usually last that long. This evening I noticed that he is now lighter than he has been or even was this morning.

Sorry pics aren't the best, I guess I'm just curious if anyone know what may be going on?

Hard to tell from the pictures, but he looks fairly normal. I noticed my tomini and other tangs for that manner don't really care for the red algae. They devour green and purple though.

As long as he's eating and doesn't look like he's stressed I don't think you should be worrying. The strangest color shift I have seen in a tang is in my Achilles tang which shifts to white with blue eyes. Yet when I have seen my Yellow tang shift to a white he's really stressed.

In a lighter environment fish lighten up to a degree, in a darker environment they darken up a bit. This is their way of blending in just a little. As long as its behavior is normal I wouldnt be overly concerned.
