Hey all,

My apologies for spamming this thread today, but I just wanted to make sure my tang is ok.

I released my tang in my tank after acclimating it for about an hour, and it immediately hid in a cave.

At the moment its almost 12 am, it's not really moving anywhere but when I shined a light on it, it swam to the other side of the cave.

Is this how he will normally behave at night? Or is something wrong.

Thanks, and sorry for being paranoid
Will

I had a tomini. Super smart fish. hold onto the rock. Took a few days to be confident. They will soon recognize you and be friendly. I used to pet mine. Sad day when I lost it.

Not paranoid just good observation.

New fish dumped into a new environment will take time to get used to there suroundings.
Is he the only fish in the tank?
If so he does not know that and will be leary for preditors.

Did you quarantine?

Not abnormal. By tomorrow or Friday should be coming out in search of something to eat

I didn't quarantine as I don't have a quarantine tank, and he's in there with two clowns and a blenny, all being pretty small.
