Hi guys,

looking for a bit of advice on a new Tomini tank i have going through TTM. He has been treated with general cure during first 3 days of TTM.

He looking in perfect condition in the LFS but upon transfering him on the first transfer i notice he had developed some scars and lesions along his lateral line.

I also can't get him to eat which i didn't expect as i have never heard of anyone having problems with Tominis. I have tried NLS, Vitalis marine flake, Garlic infused red nori, green nori, mysis, spirulina fed baby brine and masstick with no success.

Any sort of diagnosis and treating recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that looks like HLLE, but that is fairly rare in tomini, doesn’t come on that fast and wouldn’t be the reason it isn’t feeding. The fish is pretty thin already, so as you’ve been doing, trying to get it to feed is vital. The fish wasn’t exposed to any rise in salinity during the TTM was it? Would you consider holding off on that, and try to let it settle down to stabilize it? Not sure what other food enticement you could try - live brine if you have available to you...maybe an algae covered rock from an established tank?

Yeah he is thin now, and as of today he had become a bit lethargic which is a worry.
he did come in from the LFS at 1.020 and slowly raised it to 1.024 over the first 3 days of TTM which i thought was slow enough. I don't have access to live food, i could hatch some but i feel by that time it would probably be too late.

Ill stopped TTM and just focus on getting food in to him.

You raised the SG slow enough, so that isn’t it. Good luck!
