Hello,

Any leads that I can find that sells per lb?
I tried Aquacave but they only have single branches.
I just need about 10-15lbs since I have couple pieces for my 20g drop off build.

Thanks!

Thanks Hitman! I’ve seen those and few others ones but there are little pricey.
I might try Aquacave for couple few lbs and hope to get some nice pcs.

BRS and Marine depot has them as well as Carib Sea

Carib Sea makes a false Tonga Live Rock that actually looks pretty good. As far as the real stuff goes, it can't be harvested anymore as those reefs are now protected I do believe. Basically, what's circulating in the hobby is all we have and likely all we are going to have. Naturally, the price has skyrocketed for it.

I just ordered 123LB of tonga for my future build from aquacave. I was pleasantly surprised they still had it but they send me pictures of the 4 large pieces (including a 45LB). I don't think the picture shows the scale well but the 2nd picture structure is almost 4 feet long

Real Reef tonga branch, its man made but check your LFS or online and get a few pieces that way to fill out tank.

I actually like real reef because I am able to add structures like this to my existing reef. Increase real estate for corals and good flow. I don't think it works for larger tanks and the price is high considering they have to mold it and pieces are not unique, I got 2 identical pieces and since both are broken couldnt tell

good ol' ups and fedex can break anything. at my company a co worker use to work for steeda, and he told me they shipped a transmission and they found a way to break taht. lol

Any idea what are the black on the rocks- mold?
I did bleached it but I probably need to scrub it more.

Nice branches. They are stains from algae and dead ectoskeleton. Normal and harmless. Bleach may not even change it
