I have a favia colony that has had its sweeper tentacles out for about 4 days now. Not just 2 or 3 but probably 10. Today they have been out most of the day. I fed reef roids and rods 2 days ago and it ate. Any idea why it’s doing this?

Most likely chemically fighting with another coral, the coral version of 2 dogs barking at each other in two different yards.
This sounds more logical as I was going to say give it some mysis shrimp but that seems like my go to for everything these days hahaha!

It’s been in the same spot for about 2 months. Nothing new added close by...
They don't have to be close by, in a closed system the chemicals they release exposes everyone in the tank sooner or later. I have favias and favites that every now and then do the same.

Ok... does it become an issue or does it usually subside?
It'll subside whenever it feels it has enough space for itself. Just give it enough space and it'll be fine. If you haven't checked it out yet, check out the coral warfare thread. Pretty cool stuff

I have a Toxic Green Platygyra that seems to be very sensitive. He's just a small frag with only 6 or 7 heads. He sends out sweepers any time there is a slight parameter change. Today I swapped out my carbon media and that upset him quite a bit. I have a Bengai Cardinal that likes to nip at the ends of the tentacles which causes him to send out more tentacles and extend them even further.
