Tonya's 210 Gallon

I picked up a couple hammers. So now I'm going to spend the next couple hours researching how to acclimate and take care of these bad boys. Of course, I have MC Hammer songs running through my head as I type this.

Put on those parachute pants and break it down!

Gluing frags today. I rearranged some rock to accommodate my "vision". (Or lack there of.) Apparently my clowns and purple tang disapprove. They have been attacking my arms for the last hour. I needed some thinking juice for placing my other corals so I stopped to type this up and fix myself a vodka gimlet. I'll post a photo when after the dust settles and the frags are done being angry from being handled. Overall, I think I'm going to be pleased. :D

How those hammers looking? Love their movement in a tank
I'll post pics tonight -- I'm working today. Weekend hours are sometimes the joys of being a public librarian. Then I have to go see Avengers: Endgame with my boys. (Okay, I want to see it too. ;Spiderman) But the photos will be coming! (Minus the parachute pants.)

Walked in the the family room where my tank lives and there was water all over the floor. I go look and the sump was overflowing. While I was digging around trying to determine the root of the problem, the outlet strip fell down into the water and everything went dark. So I now get to spend the next few hours fixing the problem -- which I'm still not certain what. Sigh.

Ouch! Glad your unharmed and crossing fingers for getting things back running in short order.

What happened!!! I woke up to a not running tank today , somehow water got on my outlets and tripped breaker, don’t know for how long, but I have had the 3 incidents with my tank this month!!! Glad that you didn’t get electrocuted (thank God for GFCI outlets) !!! Keep us posted, wish I could help, get the troops in there to help, GOOD LUCK [emoji106]

Well, we managed to put a temporary band-aid on the tank. There were two problems...
  1. The ATO malfunctioned and kept adding water from my RODI unit. Eventually, the sump started over flowing. I'm going to have to top off the tank manually until we get the replacement. It will be sometime this week because filling the tanks is at the top of my dislike list.
  2. I am lucky we installed a GFCI outlet when we were setting up the tank. When the power strip was knocked in the water, it took a millisecond for the the outlet to shut down. I'm not saying I would have died -- but I definitely wouldn't have liked it. Especially since I since I was standing in a puddle of water. The timers to the lights ended up fried, so for the meantime, I'll have to turn the lights on and off manually. Everything turned out okay.

No kidding! GFCI outlets are the way to go. Did you find out how water got on the outlets?

Sending you a virtual “glad you are alive” hug. Electricity is no joke.

Thanks @NY_Caveman . That make me laugh! I might want to try out that hairdo though. I think I could pull it off.

I think that a Mexican Turbo snail got in front of one of the return lines, and how I HAD it pointed, it got in front of it, on the back of the tank up top, the water pressure ran a little bit over it’s shell [emoji224] and ran over the back panel, running down, and you know water finds it’s way through any crevice!!! And the other was definitely a fish fight or scare of some kind, splashed water on the same back panel and tripped the breaker!! The 3rd was my filter pad in the sump somehow (water pressure coming down) just started spitting water out the back of the sump and I found probably 2-3 gallons of water on the floor, that was my breakfast, I wake up at 4 am (commercial Yellowtail Snapper fisherman)!!!!!!
What type of ATO do you have???
