Hi Guys,

I have been roaming around the forums for a few months and have found so much great information, so thank you all. I am a begginner and am looking to start my first reef aquarium.

So in order to partake in this hobby, one needs to aquire an aquarium. So with that being said I have looked all over the internet for an aquarium that fit my requirements.

I finally stumbled across a 65 gallon, rimless, reef ready tank with starfire glass that includes in the package: the aquarium, stand, sump, protein skimmer, and return pump for less than $1,000 with shipping from Scaquariums.

My question is can this be legit. It almost seems too good to be true. I have heard of "starphire glass" but never "starfire." Could this be a ripoff and should i pass this offer?

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Never heard of them but looks legitimate(l just checked their website). I would call them before ordering. Also check out cadlight I got this rimless three sided low iron tank, sump, stand, plumbing supplies, glass lid, return pump, led lights for fuge all for less then $1000 delivered to my door.

Site looks legits, their skimmers are known to be good, so I don't think you'd be getting cheap stuff. Looks like a sweet setup!
Welcome to R2R! Good luck with whatever you decide to get!

I've heard of them, I'm from California, I live about 45 minutes away and know people that have bought from them. All have liked their products.

Awesome feedback guys, thank you so much. I am so excited to get started. I will look into those guys too reefingnoob thank you!

I have a question about this sump that comes included. It is a 3 chamber sump but what is going on with the right side and why is the one chamber split into 2 seperate chambers? How does water get to the top right corner? Im assuming the skimmer goes into the chamber on the very right. Has anyone seen a sump like this?

Looks like you would put the overflow tube into the upper right compartment, and it's probably split in two to act as a bubble trap for all the water rushing into the sump.

The right chamber is split for the overflow and the skimmer, over flow in back and skimmer in front. I have one of these set ups. They are awesome.
Here is mine
