Hello,
Beginner here…. I am going through my tankless cycle but I was wondering if my water pump is making too many bubbles??

Every time I set up a tank, I notice a lot of bubbles on the glass like that, so I think it's just normal. Also, there's no such thing as too many bubbles.

When did you put it all together? There might be bubbles during the 'break-in' process, but if everything is put together properly, the bubble should disappear fairly quickly.

The bubbles are not harmful, but they are ugly and ruin that appearance of fish "floating"

Is there a protein skimmer that was just set up? If yes give it time. This hobby is nothing but small tweaks over long time periods. The bubbles are normal for a tank with no scum yet. If it persists than change your flow or try to dial in you're skimmer but bubbles during the first couple of weeks isn't an issue.

Yeah, defiantely too many bubbles. Unlike freshwater, bubbles are normally undesirable for all the reasons listed (in addition to blocking light which wasn't mentioned). Unless you have a skimmer, somewhere your plumbing is sucking in air....just need to isolate that to correct.

Thanks everyone. The bubbles went away. I just unplugged the pump and put it a little deeper in the water. The top of it was outside of the water so maybe it was sucking in air?
