So a question for the community. Is there a point where you can have too many pods in a reef tank?
I noticed about a month ago my chalice was shrinking and read a thread about amphipods eating chalice. I grabbed a flashlight during dark period and could see pods all over my chalice which is pretty much gone now. I do have a really fat mandarin that doesn’t appear to be putting a dent in the population. My sump looks like you stepped on a fire ant bed. At night my DT looks the same way. All glass in my DT have pods on them during full light.
I do have a pod culture I have been growing for a few months now and have been adding them to the tank daily and that population is exploding.
Should I get another mandarin or some other type of pod eating fish?
