too many spirorbid worms in tank?

It seems like the population of these
Worms are getting out of hand? I understand they can be considered harmless but this looks like I little much.

My back wall gets them quickly. I'll scrape them off occasionally. No issue with them, although I assume they use up calcium etc. They get on the rocks also, but are less noticeable.
