Too many?

Wanting to get a feel on a stocking list for a 29 gallon biocube:

-clownfish pair
-pink streaked weasse
-tail spot blenny
-goby
-Flameback angelfish

thoughts?
Nah - room for a couple more yet

Dwarf angel such as a flame
Banggai cardinal

hi ,i think vetteguy missed the flameback.
would not recommend both flame and flameback together in a 29
happy reefing... :)

The amount or type of fish?

generally curious as I don’t want to overstock and deal with aggression or have to compete with excessive nutrients
The amount for sure, as you’re obviously going to have to feed five different fish which may result in some overfeeding which will result in high nutrients. As far as the types of fish and whether they’ll get along, you really don’t know until you put them all together. But obviously with each additional fish, the risk of stress and friction goes up. Might be a good idea to start out with two or three of the more docile fish and let them get established. This will also give the biological filter time to establish itself so it could handle the five fish that you want. And then you can add one fish every month or so after you’ve given the tank 6 to 12 months to establish a bacterial base. Keep in mind most of the bacteria in your tank will be in the sand.

Remove the angelfish and your golden for me - 29 gallons just isnt a lot of swim room when you take into account displacement via rocks etc. and for me, i just wouldnt want to cramp a fairly adventuring fish in that size tank.

A 40 would be my minimum recommendation for one after having multiple Centropyge myself. Id perosnally exchange it for a basslet or dartfish of some type.
