TOO MUCH CIRCULATION????

Why not just turn one on at time and see if the fish hide? If they only hide with both on...it's too much. If they hide with one pump on you know the culprit.

Mine do the same thing so i turn just one on for a while then off and then turn on the other one that worked for me..
I have a 120g tank with 2 MJ1200's on opposite ends. When they're both on, the fish (2 clowns, 1 yellow tang, 1 blue hippo tang) seem to hide out in the rock work. When I turn off for a bit for feeding time, the fish come out and swim all around and will until I turn the power heads back on. Is it possible to have too much circulation and can I leave the powerheads off for longer periods of time other than feeding?

And that might be what I end up doing. Once I get the controller I can have it set to do that. I'm shocked its that much flow that its too much. I haven't had the chance yet to check for stray voltage. I left the power heads off over night and they're swimming and just as happy as can be!
