Currently I am running Matrix carbon, Poly filter pad, phosgaurd, purigen, and Matrix biomedia in my intank media basket. I figured more filtration would be better but it seems so slow the watre flow through the filter drastically. Also after a day the poly pad is a dark brown and slows the waterflow where the intank media basket is backed up. Someone told me to ditch everything except for the purigen and to get some chemipure elite. Run the chemipure elite on the bottom and the purigen on the top or middle basket. I'm looking to the reefing community to help me on this one. I am also running a hydor slim skim nano as well next to the intank media basket. It seems to produce a consistent dark brown liquid. I can only water change about every 2 weeks or so and am trying to be more consistent..... Any help at all would be great.

all you need is floss in top shelf purigean second and chemipure elite or blue in bottom.
check how much your feeding and yes the floss needs to be changed every other day.
with everything you have jammed pack in there the flow is slow .
Also tie the chemipure bag up on the shelf so it doesn't hinder water flow

Unfortunately do not have pics since I upgraded to steves led SPS lighting pack. The lights are very blue heavy and also have 6 white leds. Whenever I take a picture I get a ridiculous blue glow. Still trying to figure that part out as well.
