Hello I have a Fluval evo 13.5 with a sicce 1.0 and a random flow generator. My problem is I think I have too much flow as one corner of my tank has no sand there where the pump seems to blow it away in one corner.

I have a spare tmc 500 compact would that be better? I don’t really want a power head in my tank.?

The good thing about a power head is that you can direct them anywhere. I bounce mine off the glass to reduce flow, and redirect. I use another aimed at the surface for agitation.

Have you considered using a splitter? I do that for my Evo and it lets me direct the halved flow around the tank for zero sand displacement.

I don't remember if this is the one I got specifically, but it's a great option. I have one RFG and one flat nozzle on mine. You can see it in my build thread if you're curious - it would have been enough flow alone but I wanted to really churn it up more so I added a second powerhead.

ok thanks. Just seems like my tank has to much flow atm maybe it doesn’t. I might change pumps and get a power head.
