take a look at the video Is this too much flow for these corals? Would you say it is high, medium or low flow? I am trying to figure out what H<M<L flow looks like

Thanks

I have about the same amount of alternating flow. Is it considered high, medium or low? I don't know, but I think you've hit on a very good idea. Would it be possible to upload short videos of different flows and have a poll to vote on what is considered high, medium or low by other reefers? How about it #MODS, or has this been done before?

I don't see any reason you couldn't post three videos, even if they have to be in separate posts. Then add a poll to the thread for voting.

I'd consider that med/low. Low flow to me is very little movement. That definitely has consistent movement

Is it correct for the corals in the video?

here’s what I’ve read. Softies need low LPS need medium and SPS need high.

low flow is 10-20x turn over medium 20-30x turn over and high is 30-50x turn over.

I know that doesn’t really help with what it looks likes.

My ipinion: The flow is med for those corals. The one in front seems to not get what the rear one gets. It could handle a bit more or it maybe just that it has shorter arms.

That is low flow. The torch can handle more flow than the other.

Not too much for the hammer. The torch is ok too but would handle a higher flow if you desire.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
