Hi,

Just looking for some general feedback, I re-built my 180 tank and want to start adding corals now that I have some fish in the tank. The tank is 24 inchs deep.

I have a Hamilton VHO MH 72" fixture on the tank which has three 20000K 250Watt bulbs and 2 160watt actinic bulbs.

Is this too much light for LPS, which LPS would you recommend to get started Also I have a par meter, is there a recommended Par range I should look for with regard to placement?

Thanks for your help.

No that is not too much light. That is going to be beautiful. My favorite light combo. I had 400Watts MH's on my current reef before I switched to LED's. That VHO bulb will make the LPS Glow.
BTW I have 4 new 72" VHO super actinic bulbs if you are interested. Show pics when you get it setup.
