Hey everyone. Currently have a 6 foot 125 gallon mixed reef with Current USA R24 52w LEDS spread across the tank.

With their new 95w units being released recently, I am fortunate enough to have 2 coming to check out.

Having 2 black bars on our tank, there are definitely few dark spots in the tank.

I'm wondering if adding these 2 95w lights in addition to our 4 52s would be too much?

If I connect them all together, they will all 6 have the same intensity, so I'd obviously need to put the 95s over the higher demanding corals.

Just wondering what the light experts thought. Currently running my 52w all 4 on max setting and getting pretty good growth and color.

From FTS. Things look real good. As you know adding 2 lights will upset the apple cart sort of speak. The logical answer is to get your PAR readings so you know where you are at and where you want to be with new light.

You can also play by sight from what your corals are doing. That is the way I used to do it before getn PAR meter. I know use both methods.

I would go ahead and add the extra lights to get rid of your shadows.

As mentioned above, just be careful the extra light doesn't shock your corals. You will probably need to turn down your existing lights a little. PAR meter would definitely be useful.
