sorry and thanks for helping out this newbie.. Just getting started in a FOWLR... so far i have two clown fish and a small clean up crew.. 46 gallon bowfront.. Just wondering how this live rock setup looks and if its too much? i never weighed it..for all i know i could have 100 pounds in here..LOL... pain in the butt setting up so i dont want to remove it just to weight it..but hopefully then again it doesnt weight too much and crash thru my floor...LOL.. either way does give my fish room to swim? i would like to add more fish when i have the chance. btw, that filter in the background will be gone in a few days.. i ordered a skimmer yesterday....thanks.

Looks great! Lots of water flow and did you mount the top rocks? As time goes on and you need to put your arm in there watch for rock slides.
I epoxy all my rocks in place :-)
I too have a 46 bf and love it!

Agreed

No, i didnt epoxy anything.. is this easy to do? they dont move when i shake them.. I guess its always possible the slide down.. but the tank is not in a high traffic area... how would you secure them better?

With tall rockwork it can get tricky. I epoxy/dowl my rock in sections before I put it in.
if you can reach in there and touch the rocks without them falling you may be good. Now if you put bulldozers in that may be a different story (turbo snails)

i found some jb water weld this morning in my house..i used some last month on my pool... I just used the rest of it on the live rocks.. i kept the rocks right in the tank and put the water weld on while rocks in tank... its not perfect but i assume still better then nothing... I googled and found that the water weld is ok with fish and shouldnt hurt them... i hope this is true, if not, im in trouble.. I have two clown fish in the tank... so far in one hour they seem ok.... hopefully that jb water weld will setup under water... after 1 hour its still not as hard as i like it to be... once again, im sure its better then nothing.. and if it semi works, i can always get another tube and add more on here and there.. this way i dont have to take the rocks out at all..
