Is too much a bad thing? Is there a such thing as too much? My millis are out at least a half inch if not more my tenius about 1/8 they are growing extremely quick so i cant see there being anything wrong but its weird to me because my red planet lost some of its red since the coral went all fluffy on me.

tank params are as follows

sg 1.026
alk 9.5
ca 450
iodide .02
iodate .03
mg 1470
po4 undetected
pH 8.0-8.1
trate 0
trite 0
ammonia 0

thanks in advance!

Good question as I just got into SPS and know almost nothing about them. My milli, sounds like yours and my monti polyps are out so much you can barely see the fleshy part.

It has proly lost the red to shading . If the polyps are out as you state then a coral can color down a lil . How old are the bulbs on the tank ? That could be a factor too .

No worries .... Just keep an eye on it and move it up if it continues to lose the red .

Ill get some pics when i get a chance, the bulb is a 8 month old phoenix 14k. I think it might be time to replace her but i cant make up my mind with what?!?!
