Have anyone have any experience with too much PE? All my SPS have way too much PE. My Tubs Stellata and Forest Fire all you can see is polyps. My Bubble Gum Millie have a fuzzy brown appearance to it. You can't see the stony parts at all.

Have anyone figured out what causes this?

Ah, champagne problems.

Following since I have the same problem..I guess.
I want to know if I have to feed more. Like a anemone opening its mouth.

I don’t think that anyone has truly found out why sps extend or retract polyps. I read a lot of conflicting opinions, kind of like how coffee causes cancer and how coffee prevents cancer.

An angelfish will take care of that PE for you if you don’t like it :-)

All your corals look pretty normal Imo. Sometimes tanks with low flow and surface irritation will bring out more polyps, at least in my experience. They look happy. I wouldn't try to change anything.

Just keep buying fish till you find that one that isn't supposed to like coral, but constantly nips then you'll have little to no polyp extension. I have a yellow tang that my daughter affectionately calls sunflower, I cuss it under my breath. ;)

I don't think there is a such thing as too much polyp extension. I am not sure if what you are trying to say by mentioning it has a fuzzy brown appearance to it, is that that polyps are preventing it from coloring up. I have a digi just like the one in your pic but it's the bubblegum digi and the polyps do not prevent the base from coloring up.

Here is a pic with all the polyps out. Which does make it kind of hard to see the base.

If I blow water on it with a syringe to make the polyps close you can see it still gets the blue base.

Beautiful red planet! I had one before but the green never showed up.

I don't think you can have too much PE. When I first got my pixie stick it was almost furry with polyps. It's still growing but the polyps aren't as prevelant as before. To be honest, I think it looked better with the polyps.

More flow and higher pH should help. If you are using 2-part or 3-part use more sodium carbonate instead of bicarbonate. Kalkwasser also elevates pH.

I’m sure it’s something to do with flow/ph maybe...

I had power go out for 3hrs yesterday and I saw some of the craziest PE from my sps, even some of the deep water sps was looking hairy.
