Too much rock and sand?

Setting up aquascape in Waterbox 20 nano cube. Put in 20 lb bag of Caribsea sand and purchased a 20 lb box of Caribsea Life Rock shapes.
The rock work does not touch and of the walls.
Unfortunately, the base rock I got was huge and takes up a lot of space.
I'm thinking that the current set-up has too much rock and the sand may be too deep and may also be too high.
Thinking I should remove that on and reset with the other?
Any thoughts/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I think it looks like to much rock. The sand height depends on what you plan to keep in it.

I'm planning on a small cleanup crew some SPF's, clownfish, sand sifting goby, and maybe two more fish

I agree you probably have too much rock. Removing some would also allow you to to shape your structure more aesthetically. Keeping in mind the Golden Ratio (5::3) you might vary the height of your rock slightly with a high spot and a lower one.

I like your livestock plan and you will need that sand for your goby.

I prefer the previous one. If you made more openings in this one it would be good. Think you may end up with some flow dead spots with this design.

I like rock scapes with a lot of arches. I think your first design was better, the rocks were just very thick. The sand depth can be whatever you want it to be

Actually there is, the whole back is open and some on the sides, just too dark to see.

I like them both. It is a tall tank and it is really about what you like! Just make sure there are plenty of hiding places for fish to feel safe and secure. I do not see any rock touching the sides of the tank which is important for easy maintenance.
