I am preparing my 55g cube with 15g sump for cycling. I switched the pump to Jebao 6500. I also have a filter sock installed. The pump is set at 60% and is super quiet, however there is a lot of noise from water going in overfill and then also down in the sump. I can hear gurgling sound from the air vent and the whole system sounds like a washing machine. Is there anyway to make it quieter? I have attached a sounds clip, this is with the hood on and the bottom door closed.

I figured it out, the pump even at 30% is a overkill, I turned it down to 30% and turned the return valve to 1/2 and the noise is gone. I don't know if it's a good idea to reduce the flow that much. Will it damage the pump? Should I get a smaller one?
