That would produce some nasty skimmate LOLThats way over sized for a 180 imo.
It is more suitable for an 800+ gallon system.
Its rates to over 1500 gal.
Put it away until you upgrade your tank and get a 9415 or max 9430 or sell or trade it.
Ok, fire it up and let us know as I am curious lol.Wow! That's a big skimmer. Seems like the biggest problems you'll face is maintaining a consistent foam head and trying to keep it tuned in. BRS has several instructional videos on skimmer size and performance. Might want to check them out. I personally would replace it with a more appropriate sized skimmer. It would probably save you some aggravation in the long run.
I run similar values in my 120. Po4 .02-.04Thank you for your response.I asked this question because my corals do not grow despite stable parameters and low values of No3 and Po4 (no3=1-2mg /l,po4=0,08
+1 those values should be no big deal. I’m going to have to say it’s another issue. What are your other parameters and what corals are you having issues with? How old is the tank? Lighting etc?I run similar values in my 120. Po4 .02-.04
No3 1-2 and have no problems growing corals.
How often and how much do you feed?
How many fish?
Pics.
I have 11 fish and feed 2 cubes at a time 3-4 times a day.
