Just wanted to say Hi from southeast Ohio. Been lurking and reading for couple months.. We are adding a SW 46bf .. Been doing FW for years. Wow whole new ball game! Day 3 added a little cured liverock and some dry dead rock lastnight.. let the adventure begin. ;)
Anywho.. Just pokin my head in <waving>

Because I have a corner tank, my instinct was to keep the rock away from the front glass like you have done (the "wall" look doesn't work in a corner tank). However now that I'm a year in, I've been moving some rock forward or just adding new pieces closer to the front. Assuming you'll be attaching frags to your rocks, you'll like having some of them up close to see all the tiny details better.

I've also found the key to keeping a reef tank peaceful is building as many swim-throughs as you can. Being able to break line of sight on neighbors seems to go a long way towards keeping stress down. And you appear to have done a really good job there!

  1. Im sure I will be moving rocks..lol.. need to pick up a little more rock.. my goal is to have a fat C shape, with lots of caves and tunnels. Sorta like looking from a beach out in to lagoon. Good point on getting some rock closer to front glass..for better viewing of frags and such.
