Top 10 Collector Corals

So for a little project, I'm looking for a list of the top 10 collector corals...includes zoas/palys, sps, lps and softies (although I can't think of a really hot softy).

So what are you top 10? I know there's a top 10 zoa list here somewhere, but what about the rest?

this is not necessarily my top 10, but just a top 10 in general.....this would be cool to have a poll and vote like we did with the zoa-all-stars. kinda like the top 10 most famous and most wanted corals of all time.

Question for you all...is Tyree a copyrited term? Like if I was to put it on a t-shirt or calendar?

i doubt tyree is copyrighted, someone would have to have a huge ego to copyright his own "name"

*anything with rainbow colours OR with considerable PINK in it, is considered the top tier

and to the dude who started the 'let's name these cool looking corals after some random dude who happened to have exceptional access to sweet corals so we can sort of create a pseudo-brand just so we can charge whatever we want', I want to slap you upside the head.....yeah, I REALLY, REALLY hate the whole "LE", "Limited", "Paletta", "Tyree" thing...it's doing a major disservice to the hobby, imo......heheh yeah this is a discussion for another thread...lol

i totally agree, but it also lets you know exactly what you are getting.... you dont have to guess if maybe it will have green with pink polyps, you know what it is supposed to be and if they have their lineage, it can make you more sure about it..... it also lets you know how it is supposed o grow..... i buy lots of the corals that my 1 LFS rings in(only one for 200 miles) and alot of them are wild harvested, but thats part of the fun in it, i never know what i am going to get... yeah i have lots of the LE frags, but it got them for what they look like, not what they are worth...... i guess it is like the aussie acans and micros, if they are from australia they cost a bunch more than if you bought the ones from fiji, but they are sold for their color just like anything else.... so it can go both ways.....but like you said that is for another forum, i just had to put m 25 cents in about it...

no worries man...I wasn't trolling re: your post....i just really despise the whole 'let's slap some stupid name/brand on it and hope it catches on' - style of marketing....following lineage is OK, but to take it that one step beyond and market it in the hopes of increasing your profit margin, well....heheh
