The one guy that can grow this thing!
I cut 2 frags off mine over a year ago and it’s been a dormant blob since.

Thank you. If I can grow it, any one can, with a little help from the Coral God
BTW one of the slowest growers in my tank

Garry is an amazing grower. Mine has remained dormant for years too.
Thank you for the compliment Tim!
Just learning from the best in the hobby.
Patience is the key, remember?

@therman got a pic of your CC Hellboy colony?

@Coral Euphoria has the only colony pic anywhere online (and she’s a beauty!)
I do have this one I just took a couple of days ago when photographing something else. It has taken FOREVER to reach this point. Not a great shot and the colors are a little skewed as the lights were pretty blue heavy when I took it making the green blow up when white balanced:

What exactly classified as a smooth skin acro? I have been seeing all types of acros on this thread.

It is not a technical term. Basically any Acropora with relatively widely spaced corallites and a generally smoother than average coenosteum.

Whoa interesting! Is the lavender pretty accurate?

No, that’s an artifact of the blue lighting. The new growth is white.

RMF Red Gecko gets a lavender/bluish tint to the new growth. That is another one I am overdue to photograph.
