Top 3 SPS of all-time

I'm confused, is that the name of the coral (yahoo couldn't find it)? Or is this a photoshop "urban legend"?

It is a myth!

If I ever were to name corals, my first two top choices would be to call them urban legend and myth.

What makes the Reef Raft corals and Jason Fox corals so expensive? Also why can't a guy just import Mariculture corals that come in as a whole colony? Sorry for the ignorance in advance, I had reef tank 10 years ago and now it seems like everything has changed.

Thanks!

Myself as buyer of RR and JF corals I buy for the overall colors and health of the frags. You can get really nice stuff from certain vendors here and there, but if you're looking for as many high ends as you can afford you can't beat RR or JF for one stop shopping lol

You mean just overall colors. Every RR or JF coral ive ever seen has been fresh cut and imo a fresh cut coral is not exactly healthy I guess unstable would be a better word. I try to avoid fresh cut, too hit or miss for me especially with the crazy price tags they put on them, they should at least be encrusted for the prices. Your money though.

The pieces I've gotten are always healed for at least 2 weeks, I'm sure if they said they're going to send you fresh cuts you can request letting them heal for 2 weeks. I think another thing that is appealing is their resell value. I'm not trying to make a fortune off of the hobby but it is nice to let stuff grow out and help pay for some new frags and equipment because as we all know this hobby can get expensive lol.

Some of my favorite pieces are Mariculture but without a name I can't find them again if I lose them. I lost the last one.

I can't make a list of this. I can't call one SPS coral "the best", for me that's not possible. It's not possible because without any complementing SPS that coral is nothing unless it's under a macro lens. An SPS reef can't have 3 perfect corals, it has to have many beautiful specimens that create the perfect reef.

I can list my current most wanted sps though
WD Tenuis
RR Jawdropper
RR Pretty in Pink

I just picked up a RR Pretty and Pink and Jason Fox Flame both are nice but I'm still loving Garth Bonsai lol.

Oregon Tort, Tyree Pink Lemonade and Original Superman montipora......

Purple Monster, Oregon Tort and Pink Lemonade. I have to say that the "old school " acro's are just more enjoyable for me. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a few of the newer WWC, JF, RR, CB, etc. releases but they're just not the same.

Paletta Pink Tip, Palmer's milli, ORA Roscoe & Chip's (and countless others). Rommel's Watermelon, Vivid's Aqua Delight, Greg Caroll efflo, $500 efflo, 20k & 30k Leagues lokani's. Lime in the Sky, Tubbs Mystic, Sniper's Bubblegum milli. These are the corals that opened the door for all the others to follow. Not knocking the new guys and the new named acro's, but nothing like the old school. Also, these pieces have been aquaculture for so long that they're more hardy.
