I think I found a 5g easy clean top fin aquarium at goodwill and I was just wondering if I could turn it into a saltwater tank since there’s no like return nozzle like saltwater tanks does (if you saw an easy clean tank before you would know what I’m talking about) and has that thing in the back to drain the water. I’m really trying to figure out if I can actually do it or not. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the reef! I agree with most people here. To put it bluntly I don't think it's a good idea.
With that said there are some very inexpensive ways to get your feet wet with saltwater. If you are trying to do it as cheap as possible, I think the most economical way would be to get a small aquarium from your local pet store. 10 or 20 gallons and it should be pretty inexpensive. Then you can get a hang on back filter and a powerhead of some sort. I think with a setup this small and simple you should limit it to fish only, at least in the beginning. You can get some rock and snails and such and a small fish like a clownfish. They would be fine in a setup like this but you would struggle to keep corals alive. You can also very easily get a kit that is pretty inexpensive like the one below!

Welcome to R2R. Petco has a 50% sale going on tanks right now.
It’s fine to get a tank from them. Start a thread in the new to saltwater section and people will help with equipment lists. You’ll get more answers to questions there than in the meet and greet.

Most marine fish aren’t suited for a 5 gallon.

Greetings! I've seen mentioned that a bigger tank I'd the way to go. And i agree. A 5g tank will be a challenge to keep stable. May sound counterintuitive, but larger tanks are a lot easier to take care of. That and you can have more in them. You may want to consider a 20g long or a 40g breeder.

And I almost forgot.....Greetings and Welcome to our collective obsession!!!!
