I am having a problem finding something that will grow at the top of my tank. I’ve tried various SPS (quoted as the easier to keep ones) but they do not survive. I have Fox Corals, Bubble Corals, Scolymia, Lobo, various Acans/mushrooms/Toadstools etc and all are doing well. My tank is a Reefer170 - alkalinity 7.4, calcium 445, phosphate 0.04, salinity 1.025, magnesium 1340. I have the ReefLED and am running it on their middle setting.

My LFS says that some tanks just can’t grow certain corals and maybe mine isn’t suitable to SPS. However, I’d really like something near the top - any suggestions outside of SPS?

Kenya tree, toadstool , a bunch of leather corals, gorgs some options and easy to keep or buy fake decorative coral and put an encrusting coral on it to make it come alive so to speak and it can be the shape of yr choosing
