Top off container heated?

I have a heater in mine only bc during the winter that top off tank would get down to 68°-70°… now that's its getting warmer out, I'll probably take it out.

No heat...that's a waste. The amount of volume added per demand is so small, it won't effect total tank temperature.

Your topoff should be in such small amounts the temperaure is not going to make any difference. Waste of energy to heat it.

My top off and sump are both in the garage and I have never kept a heater in my top off.
