Hello reefers, I have a 20g long. I'm have another 20g to keep my RODI for auto top off. My question is, should I keep the rodi water circulated or just still. And should I keep a lid on it to prevent evaporating?
Thanks

A cover to prevent things getting into it, that's all. No need to keep is moving, if you use Kalk you certainly don't want to touch it after mixing.

Kalk is CaOH. It is highly basic. Coral skeletons are made of calcium carbonate. The corals deplete calcium and alkalinity from the tank water as the corals grow. Kalk is a way to add calcium and alkalinity back in. Putting it into the ATO makes the addition automatic.
