Hey everybody, working on some of the final details in planning my 210 eurobraced build. I am looking for a quiet, stable, long life external return pump. My total water volume is roughly 300 gallons, I figured I would purchase a pump that can handle 10x flow and I can dial back using a valve to reduce or inclrease flow rate. Please list some suggestions that you have in regards to this, agian loking for something built solid, quite as it will be going under the system and and has a long life (with proper maintenence of course).

Thanks!

Reeflo makes a fine pump, no doubt about it! They are tried and true, and have a long reputation to stand on.

With that said, I would look closely at "Deepwater"'s brushless DC pumps. They seem to be a pretty good value, and when I heard one recently at a convention it was amazing how quiet it was (even when you put your ear to the tank). Other perks like variable speeds, energy efficency, as well as running dry detection are all perks as well IMO.

I am pretty sure they are newer, so their quality/longevity is still to be proven. But assuming that is on par, it seems like a winner in my book.

the snapper is a different pump. the hammerhead hybrid is the way to go. you can change the impeller to a barracuda if to much for you. I would say get the hammerhead. I run them and love them. they are quiet don't heat up and solid.

I use the reeflo snapper/dart hybrid for my closed loop. It has 2 different impellers. The dart impeller is 3600 gph and the snapper is the 2600 gph.
Great pumps.
