I have a fish only system in a 500L tank with a low fish count. The tank has a open top and therefore has a water loss of about 10l per day, which is replenished by an auto top up of RO water. This is in total 70l per week. Does this mean I still need to do a water change on a weekly bases?

I would. That Evap isn’t removing anything from the water. Your just keeping salinity stable with it.

The only thing leaving the water is water during evaporation so yes, water changes as needed regardless of evaporation and top offs

10L per day? Wow what temp do you run 90? Mine is half that size and only has about 1.4L/ day from evaporation.
