Hello all,

I recently purchased a Topfin 5 gallon with a built in filter. Right now, it is cycling. However, I have been worrying about the light it came with. I plan to have a variety of coral in it. If I remember right it is a 2.5 watt led light.

I was hoping someone could help me pick the right light. Right now, I am open for any suggestions. What I have looked at so far is just a bulb in a light fixture which could be around 12 through 24 watts or so. Let me know if there are any questions. I would love to get a light that would help the tank flourish.

Kessil A80 Tuna Sun! This thing will put out plenty of light for that on like 20% intensity. Its fanless so its silent and can grow with you to a bit bigger of a tank!

Also the AI prime HD is a great choice too! Less plug and play than the Kessil tho !

The Kessils and AIs are nice in that they are adjustable. You don't have as much control over your lighting with the bulbs. The only thing you can really change is the height of the bulb. I've seen several successful reefers that use them, but IMO aren't an ideal choice.
Are you planning on doing SPS corals as well?
Any pics of your setup so far?
