I have been using Red Sea A liquid to top up my calcium levels and was wondering about using Calcium Chloride (dihydrate) instead. Red Sea is so expensive now ( in the UK ) and the chloride is a much cheaper option. Can I use it instead of the Red Sea..and if so which specific type of CC do I need to buy.

Try switching to Red Sea A powder. 1kg of liquid isn't the same as 1000ml because the powder makes 1,800ml and isn't much more expensive. Once you have made a stock solution, the savings add up and the effort to mix the powder into water not too time consuming or difficult. Foundation B is a good example - 1kg makes 10,000ml but it is 3x less effective - but still worth mixing up and the lower concentration is less likely to precipitate out. Foundation C is 1.7x.
