hello all,

As the title says ibhbe a torch that has been in my tank for 3 month and it has never really opened. I ha e tried moving it to more light and less light, more flow and less flow. Also I just got a hammer the other day and it isn't fully opening either. I'm asking more about the torch as the hammer I believe it's because it's new. I have a 90g with 2 radion 30w pro on it. I have places the new hammer at the bottom as I just lost a frogspawn but I believe that was my fault as it came from a tank with t5 lighting and I put it half way up in the tank. Stupid I know. But here is the kicker I have old and new torch and hammers that are fully open right beside the not fully open ones. They are not touching. And advice would be great. Parameters are all ok. Sps is doing quite well.

IME most euphyllia like the low light and low flow and especially since you say you have sps in your tank, I'm assuming your tank has a good amount of flow and light which would then further lead me to believe that you should place them as low as you can and maybe in some partial shade and observe from there. Moving euphyllia from spot to spot IME has just ticked the specimen off more and more and eventually lead to BJD or some other infection.

Hope this helps a bit. Good luck with your specimens!

Thanks that's what I thought. I have some easy sps nothing too hard and I donhavw fairly strong flow and light. I noticed it is coming out more today. Guess I will just have to wait and hope for the best.
