I went to go do a water change today and I noticed a thick brown looking algae on one of my torches. It slid right off so I didn’t get pictures but made me nervous of brown jelly disease. My coral the past few days has been perfect and open.it has recently been upset due to the tank upgrade I did but opened back up and was fine. It has been seriously happy. In the pictures here it is tightly closed because I picked it up to look at it. But today it was a little more closed off than usual Please tell me it’s just algae and not the worms that eat them

Is there a little syphon in the structure? If so and it's hard, it's likely a vermitid snail. Scrape it off outside of the tank.

I’m not sure. It just slid off and I sucked it out with my water syphon

They won't do any harm
The torch looks fine today. It’s opened nicely. I have noticed a little hair algae but my hermit crabs are taking care of it. Thank you for the info!
