Torch coral and lowering the lighting schedule HELP ME!!

1. Would lowering the lighting schedule to 75% cause harm to the corals?

2. Is the length of torch coral tips associated with the intensity of lighting?

If you get the feeling your lighting is up too high and your torch coral is suffering you're probably right. It really depends on what lights you're running and what schedule you're running. LPS in general don't have the same high intensity light requirements as SPS. Anywhere from 100 to 200 par should be fine for a torch. People are probably going to chime on that they have their torch in 300 par and they're doing great but every system is different.

It would help to know why you're asking this? It would also help to know the starting par that would be reduced by 75%?
